An impressive 308 segment runs by over 100 riders this week at Addison Oaks. S6 began with an all-out charge climbing along the groomed fat bike loop (also including parts of the De Ronde van Grampian gravel race start/finish) and then jumping into nearly the full single track loop. We had a fresh blanket of snow leading into the week and we needed all those laps to break in the single track with times getting faster as the week wore on, complete with snow angels scattered left and right along the course. The Elsa-inspired ice bridges were “magical” as well presenting an added challenge – but as always, Addison Oaks didn’t disappoint with plenty of smiling faces and most making several attempts at the segment over the course of the week.
Now onto the weather – as quickly as we received great snow it hath been taken away just as quickly, so we’re heading into “bye-week-protocol” for the upcoming week. Stay tuned for more details as we hope to get back to some cooler temps here soon.
