Bloomer was boomin’ this week. And S5 is now locked down and a wrap. 387 total segment attempts by 125+ people. We had a phenomenal group all week that went out and rode just about every day. Times started off fast early in the week, with significant snow hitting Wednesday morning. The more laps that got laid down though – both day and night – the faster the course seemed to get – with Saturday being minty-fresh and rivaling some of the early-week times with nearly 50 riders hitting the segment. In the end, Bloomer is a tricky and technical segment and we spared no expense hitting the highlights, with just about every switchback and heart-pumping climb – even Art’s Lungbuster. It’s not an easy segment, so congratulations to all who triumphed.
Now that we’ve got some legitimate snow, the window of options open up even further for our upcoming segments. So on that note, we head to Addison Oaks for S6. Addy has some sweet and fast single track, coupled with a nicely groomed fat bike loop. We utilize parts of both of them this week. The snow is out and it’s magnificent. Make sure and enjoy the view a little while throwing down a time. And if you make a snow angel while you’re out there, take a photo and post it in the FB group.
