Segment 4 is a wrap and timing was a key factor for this one, with the quickest times happening early in the week before the added snow arrived. Segment traffic was pretty quiet until the weekend with everyone seemingly waiting it out, but 94 guys and gals still logged a time – and even though the times later in the week may have been slower, Stony’s trails still looked to provide a good time and challenge for most everyone.
For Segment 5, Bald Mountain South is next up. Weather should be promising and with the second half of the schedule underway, the coveted Cold Stone cake is not too far off in the distance. BMS has gotten some traffic from bikes and snowmobiles so the trails should be in good shape. As always, keep an eye out for foot traffic and try to be courteous during your red mist of a blitzing segment run.
