If you were never challenged by GPS and navigation in the past, you most likely were after this week’s segment. Bloomer comprised not only techy single track, but the most challenging route to navigate, probably ever for us. That is part of the fun though – riding, exploring, making mistakes, finding the route, then riding again – and sometimes again. Over 300 attempts and 89 guys and gals logged a time and it seemed to get more “fun” with each try – either for a desire to conquer, qualify for the Cold Stone cake – or both. And not to be discounted, seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones on the trail is something that puts a smile on everyone’s face.
For Segment 3, we move over to Novi and to Maybury. We’ve had requests to get a segment over on that side of town and we’re listening. Navigation should be more straight forward this time, but still pay careful attention to the segment/GPX file.
