Yasss. This week has been what fat biking is all about. Pristine trails and a proper segment for fat bikes. Special thanks to Josh McCreedy for grooming the segment multiple times to make for ideal conditions all week long. We had great snow that condensed up a bit as we got into the weekend, for faster and faster times. Total segment runs was over 480 as well!
For S4, we head west to Proud Lake. We’ve had some great runs at Proud the past two years of the FBC and even though he’s taking this season off from competition, we’ve had an assist from local legend Chris Ostberg for this week’s segment. Check out our schedule page to find the route and segment.
Of note, you may want to park just east of Wixom Rd. near the start. A recreational pass is required if you do so. Much of the segment is two way traffic, so keep your eyes up. Lastly, there is a track crossing on the segment. Bike dismount required. It’s low speed and look both ways as you make your runs.
Cheers!
