Accommodating the sketchy weather towards the end of last week and adding an extra week for S2 paid off as we had a bunch of fresh snow that got us back to a good place in terms of trail conditions. The only downside was a couple days early in the S2 window showed themselves to be the prime days to get a fast run in. As it is every year, timing matters. Nevertheless, we had over 550 attempts from all our guys and gals and Orion Oaks again delivered as a popular location.
For S3, we head to River Bends. With this fresh snow and having a groomer in play, the conditions at RB couldn’t be better. Special thanks to Steve Vigneau for grooming the trail and also helping us build out the segment for this week.
Take note of the route and segment on our schedule page. Also note the segment is not entirely unique, so you’ll want to filter Strava by “This Week” to get an accurate view of the leaderboard for the FBC. It should be a fun one.
